Happy Sunday!! What a great weekend and an absolutely beautiful day here in Missouri!! It has been a great weekend with lots of family time...what more could a girl want??

So...its that time of the year where everyone starts thinking about Spring Cleaning. I'm not going to lie..I LOVE a clean house. Seriously...pull the furniture out, clean the windows, wipe down walls and clean out cabinets, clean!! Am I crazy or does everyone spring clean like that?? Now...let me tell you, it doesn't happen nearly like it should but...I love when it does!

 A few amazing  TPT friends decided to have a "Spring Clean" the wishlist sale. We thought we would join in and give you 15% off everything in our store till the 31st!!

Lesson Plans, Freebie and Giveaway!!

Hey Friends...Happy Sunday! So...I am not going to lie, we are a tad jealous about everyone being on Spring Break this coming week or just finishing up!  Are you ready to be jealous??? We get ONE, that's right ONE day off!! 

Oh how we would love to have an entire week off!!:(

So...on the bright side...it is officially spring even though it surely doesn't feel like it here! To celebrate, we thought we would have a little giveaway!! We had a fun week!! The little leprechaun made a visit to our room and left a nice little mess but...along with the mess, he left some gold...in the form of glitter and candy!!

So...to add to the excitement of the week we also received a surprise in the mail!! Our 2 IPad minis arrived!! 

We are beyond excited to be able to use them! We are still waiting to get the cases, but we can't wait to try them out!! I wrote a grant through Donors Choose. What a great experience and an AMAZING organization. In exactly one week my project was fully funded!  In about 5 days we had the IPads in our room! It is so nice to see people that just truly want to help each other out! I love that you can donate whatever amount you are able to give and for the first week they match each donation dollar for dollar up to $100!! How awesome is that?? 

Well...since we are in school this week while everyone else is relaxing on a beach somewhere or at least not setting an alarm, we thought we would share our lesson plans for the week!

Lesson Plans!!

Happy Sunday!!! It's time for lesson plans again!!! It is a short week for us since we have an early release on Thursday for parent/ teacher conferences. In the spring, we only meet with parents of at risk kids, either academic or behavior.

 Last week, we finished up assessments for grade cards. Now... I just need to finish the grade cards!:( I am the worst at procrastinating about this!! I mean really... It's not like they are going to magically finish themselves, yet every time I come up with every excuse in the book!! No joke... I would rather mop floors than write comments!! Errr... Can someone just do it for me??:

Anyways... While I continue to clean house, fold laundry and just about anything but grades, we thought we would share our plans!! We are linking up with our dear friend DeeDee Wills for a peek at our week!!

Sight Word Practice!!

Bright ideas...we LOVE bright ideas!! I mean really...we are all educators so if we can come across something that will save us time and money...we are all game! Well...you have come to the right spot!! We are linking up with some AMAZING bloggers for a hop of just BRIGHT IDEAS!!

 So sit back and enjoy the tips!!:)

Our "bright idea" is out the door practice with sight words!! They are everywhere...we dance to them, sing them, practice writing them...it is never ending practice!! However...sometimes you just need a little more!! And..then the light bulb comes on! How many times a day do you line up or students walk out of your room either for a trip to the bathroom, nurse, office...on and on and on!! So...words on the door! Before they leave they have to practice reading them! Here are a couple examples from our rooms!!
The clothesline above the door is adorable and easy to change out!! Just use the mini clothes pins, some yarn and two 3M hooks and you are done!!:)

Or...you can go a little easier and just stick them to your door!:)

We jazz it up...we use our best grumpy voice, opera voice and sometimes we just pick one and write it on the friends' back that is in front of us! Seriously...what kid doesn't love a fancy pointer! They are a must for reading. Have them by the door and bam...a fun way to read sight words! It takes just a few seconds but, a few seconds several times a day is great practice!!

What We Had To Have and Lesson Plans!!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!! We love the simple wisdom that came from this man!! Here are a few of our all time favorite quotes!

We will be celebrating all week!! 

Around here it looks more like the beginning of January instead of March!! I just need Spring to come quickly!!! After a trip home last night, that was filled with sleet, freezing rain and stopping about 10 times to scrape the windshield (I am not even kidding), I am hanging out in my nice warm house and not going anywhere today!! I am hopeful we will have school tomorrow...NO.MORE.MAKEUP.DAYS!!!

Anyways...since I am not leaving, I thought I would link up with the great gals at Blog Hoppin' to show off what we grabbed during the TPT sale...man we love a sale!!

So we needed some more paper..we love variety and we also love coordinating pieces!! The perfect solution to both of those is the adorable pack from Ashley Hughes. We haven't ever bought anything from her that we have not loved!!! As a matter of fact...we have already put that paper to good use!!

And...you can NEVER have too many fonts and frames!! Check out these adorable frames from Lovin Lit...we certainly LOVE everything about them! We are so excited about the fonts from KB Fonts...there are a TON...111 to be exact!!

The adorable paper from KH Digi is screaming SPRING!! It makes me think of flowers...NOT snow!:)

So...of course to go with the frames and paper we had to have clipart...can you ever really have too much?? We didn't think so!!

Melon Hedz and Creative Clips are two of our very favorites!! They are some very talented ladies!! Man...if only I could draw!

We have some big plans for all the Pink Cat and K Is For Kinderific. I am sure you will be seeing a lot of it in some upcoming packs!!

So there you have it...that is what we had to have!!! We have already started creating with them!!:)
